Situated close to the prestigious neighbourhoods of Marylebone and Little Venice, West End Gate comprises a range of apartments situated around private landscaped gardens. Residents enjoy first-class facilities including 24-hour concierge, private cinema room, pool, gym and spa.
The sprinkler systems provided were all designed to comply with BS 9251:2014 for the residential sprinkler systems, BSEN 12845 for the commercial sprinkler systems and BS 9990:2015 for the wet risers.
A 3-year project, which involved installing in excess of 5,600 sprinkler heads throughout the development, including six blocks with the highest at 27 stories tall. The sprinkler systems were brought online in a phased approach to enable blocks to be occupied whilst the others were still under construction.
The residential system utilised the sitewide boosted cold water system and we installed a 135m3 tank for the commercial sprinkler system and a 67m3 tank for the wet risers. CPVC pipework was used throughout for the residential systems and BS EN 10255 medium-weight steel tube elsewhere.
